Oversheeting work and reduced energy consumption for occupiers

In the last issue of this newsletter we reported the fact that we had upgraded the security system at Upton and installed new cameras. Further improvements at Link have included the oversheeting of units 8-15 and we have plans to continue with this programme. The oversheeting of Units 1-5 at Link Business Centre is scheduled for this summer. There is no disturbance to occupiers and each new roof has a life expectancy of 40 years.

Why are we doing this work? By 2030 the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard for commercial properties must be either A or B. As landlords we have to present a valid Energy Performance Certificate for all units by 2025 and ensure they remain compliant. So the improvement works will ensure that we meet these deadlines. It also results in reduced energy consumption for occupiers.
