Planning for the future at Link and Business Upton Centres

During our 42 year history, we’ve always maintained family business principles. From the outset our aim has been to maintain a two way conversation with occupiers and ensure that any issues are dealt with efficiently. When we undertook our tenants’ survey in early 2020, many of you were kind enough to mention how much our availability and attention to detail were appreciated.

As you may be aware, new Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards are coming into force. By April 2023 if a commercial property is already let, and has an EPC regulation below E, we are not allowed to continue to let the property. This does not apply to us, but looking further ahead to 2028-30, the regulations stipulate that the buildings be either grade A or B. In this issue of the newsletter we outline some of the long-term improvements we are making to meet these standards.

With the price of materials and labour rising fast, we believe it is in everyone’s interests to carry out this work sooner rather than later. Our ultimate goal is to create a sustainable future for both Centres and continue to provide a home for your business.
